Looking for a fun activity to do with your kids that could also be used as an educational tool? Rock Around The Clock is a fun, minute-to-win-it type of game.
Here's what you'll need:
Small Candies (M&M’s are our favorite)
Printable Clock Face (or you can just write the numbers on the paper plate)
Here is how you play:
The participant will pick up small candies one at a time using only a straw and their mouth (a hand on the straw to hold it in mouth is fine).
Place one candy on each number of the clock going around clockwise, starting with 1 o’clock and finishing at 12 o’clock.
The goal is to finish placing one candy on each number in under a minute.
Depending on the age of your child, you can use this game to help practice numbers. For some kids, this may help with telling time as you provide them different scenarios. Or, it can just be an easy pastime to tear them away from the TV for a little while.
What do you win? Well, the candy of course! You might just want to give everyone their own plate, straws, and candies. Saliva=germs. Just sayin'.
